Today we live in the world of manipulation, You can't deny it. And we are underprepared. Each of us is being manipulated in this world today. We are struggling to know the truth from the false. It is because political power has been unleashed on an individual level.

As the evolution of the media makes us more and more connected, it is also bringing with it the problems of our politics. Where there is communication there is politics and power. The one who gets heard is the one who is yelling the loudest. And usually, the politicians do that. For politicians its all about visibility.

But seriously, we have to think about what this means for those who sit in front of the canon called state power- Us. We must now more than ever understand the politics behind messages we see and hear. We must interpret the brainwashing at a pace unimaginable.

Marshall McLuhan said, “Medium is the message”. The medium is evolving and the evolution means we have to deal with information faster and make decisions faster. The pace of media is the pace of decisions. The pace is determined by the media not the message.

And as our inner world comes rushing forth in our social media and our privacy is being looted in front of our eyes, we are becoming more and more visible in the eyes of politicians as targets to reach to.

The discourse in politics has changed as well. Instead of informing us, it has become about manipulating us, instead of giving us the truth it has become misleading and false. Because media has become lawless and we don't hold anyone accountable anymore for the mistruths.

So it falls under our responsibility today to be able to discern the truth, to get the information. And that is why I think we must all learn political science- now more than ever.
