Admit it, we are living in an age of manipulation and brainwashing. Either you are brainwashed by assholes like Steve Bannon who were behind and BREXIT, TRUMP, MODI campaigns, or you are being manipulated by multinational companies who are trying to sell you useless things.

In this day and age the greatest commodity is YOUR ATTENTION and it is being mined, used. Its us against the supercomputers with their algorhythm in a world that continues to move towards looking like the matrix.

As a communications specialist I have a lot to say about these things. But I don’t want to geek out. What I would tell you though is how you can manage and keep yourself sticking to your virtues and morality in this age of misinformation.

I call this LOOK

Look stands for

Look twice at information: When you are looking at information in television online, make sure you know different outlets. If you are just reading one outlet, try to find just some other outlet. Be sure not to let someone’s dirty feet walk over your thoughts.

Organise your thoughts: The media has become pervasive, abusive and you have to make sure your thoughts arent being controlled by an endless feed. We have to realise that the outworld world and the inner narrative are clashing now more than ever before. What endless stream does is breakdown your mental defences and occupies your thoughts. Its a simple trick really people who are into hypnotism know the trick. Your focus is taken from you and then they can implant anything in your head. Make sure you organise your thoughts before you go out looking for information. Know what you want to know and look for that information. We have to do our homework or else we risk being stuck in an endless loop where our attention is being taken for a ride.

Overlook what you are being fed: It comes back to organization, when you know that your objective really is you will have no problem overlooking, but you must be actively overlooking. I am not hoping that you will actively overlook information from the opposite spectrum, for that you need to be actively looking as well.

Keep yourself from participating: Keep yourself from participating in things that track you. Things like where you click a like on , what you share, these will give the brainhackers a way to understand what you like and get through to you.

It is a lot to take but we have to take back our inner world or else we are risking at the very least polarization and at most our sanity.
